Heirloom Veggie Farmers seek new pastures ASAP

Land Seeker Description

Hello! We grow Edible flowers, Hops and Heirloom Vegetables.

Sadly, the old guy who was renting farmland to us, had a stroke recently,  which has totally changed his personality and he is now wanting us to vacate the land at once!  It’s very sad.  Clearly this is creating more than a few issues for us as we have all the plants already growing. We have pulled up and repotted 90% but clearly this is temporary and we need to seek a new home for ourselves and our plants without any delay.

We can pay a reasonable rent and require very little.

What We Are Looking For:

  • land 5 acres or above
  • Water onsite
  • hopefully utilities of some sort
  • property shares considered on larger land listings
  • a barn would be nice (but not a deal breaker if you don’t have that)
  • a minimum of a six month – one year lease ( but hopefully longer )
  • We need this ASAP.

Who we are:

  • We are Sam & Kerry
  • a Brit and a Californian with a really cute puppy

About Sam

Personally, I have repaired and fixed up all kinds of buildings including everything from vintage Airstreams to a 33 room Victorian manor.   An ex photographer and journalist I have spent much of my adult life in the third world working within the charitable aid services and believe me when I say that changes your life view on how to best help our planet more than any ‘well meaning’ documentary by Al Gore shall ever do.

I’ve been lucky to be Oxford educated in Botany & Anthropology,  I’ve a great deal of knowledge regarding permaculture and organic farming. Farming is in my blood and my father still has the farm in England.

I returned back to the States to commence a higher management position with a large agricultural company yet Covid 19 had other plans.  So, I shrugged off that life and began a new one and here I am!

About Kerry

Kerry is a salt of the earth ex-marine who is very much all about doing something right and thrives best when he is caring for tender plants and animals, he just loves all things furry, so in truth he’s a big softy with a heart of gold. He’s as strong as an ox and can build anything.

Truly, I feel very fortunate to have him by my side. I write this as, clearly he’s not the writer and even though I do plead for him as he’s just so intellectual, he’s just not the ‘sit down & write kind of guy’  but, much more the meet face to face and talk type of bloke.

What We Bring/Have:

  • Our lovely 27’ trailer and truck
  • a little ride on farm vehicle that is just a great all-rounder
  • a small greenhouse (20 x 10) with 6ml plastic
  • 90 Heirloom Tomato plants
  • 40 Heirloom Peppers
  • 40 Hop plants
  • 6 varieties of Melons, many edible flowers, Lavenders, Herbs
  • lots of fantastic bagged soil amendments
  • Fencing
  • Really great tough cart
  • Plenty of useful tools
  • Our sweet puppy who is super friendly

We are both fit capable people totally willing to fix things up and help out should that be something you need.

Please, If you have a piece of land, or need help on your land and have a space we could rent to save our crops we urge you to Please get in touch at once.
