My name is J.D. and I’ve been farming for 6 years, mostly in Southern California until recently.  I specialize in organic farming using regenerative and holistic integrated pest management methods.

I’m looking to lease between 5 to 10 acres for a Certified Organic Herbal Tea farm.


What features of the property are essential?

The existing infrastructure would inform the farm business model and depending on the relationship with the land owner and the intentions with the land.


Describe your farming experience

My name is J.D. and I've been farming for 6 years, mostly in Southern California until recently.  I've primarily managed Vegetable gardens for restaurants and CSA programs.  In those same programs, I also managed. chickens, a production greenhouse and an Apricot orchard.  I specialize in organic farming using regenerative and holistic integrated pest management methods. I plan to expand our herbal medicine production through leasing land around the Springfield Area. The land my family owns act as the primary processing center.

What are your short term goals for the land

I believe that Holistic crop management utilizing regenerative ag practices. Over the next 5 years I would look to sell herbal tea ingredients to large retailers and create a small line of herbal tea blends.


What are your long term goals

Over the next 5 to 10 years I hope to cultivate perennial polyculture systems to expand our medicinal tea offerings.
