I have been a science teacher for the last 10+ years (biology, environmental science, etc.) and I am incredibly passionate about regenerative farming, biodynamic practices and helping bring back the local small farm food system. My vision is to start a small family farm and to get a chance to try out all the practices and ideas I have been very passionate about over the last several years as well creating educational components for helping others interested in regenerative practices in a small farm setting. My family and I love southern Oregon and the outdoors and try to spend as much time outside as we can. Our dream is to own a small farm in the future in the rogue valley or Applegate area.
Land with water rights, housing
I have several years of backyard gardening experience. My husband (who is in marketing/copy writing) has 1 year or organic farming experience.
Our plan is to start regenerative farming practices with the land we take on and to make an educational component/social media platform for outreach and education. Our process (the ups and downs) would be logged/documented, written about through articles and a podcast for others who are interested in learning about the process and what goes into it as well educational outreach.
The soil type, water available and elevation will determine what will be grown.
Our long term plans are to own a small farm that incorporates regenerative farming and biodynamic practices.
We currently live in Talent, OR. We are a blended family so our kids (4 elementary age children) live with us for one week and alternate back and fourth with their other parents. We are seeking a house with land.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
