Family looking to Lease to Own or Purchase 20+ acres: Restorative farm/homestead/community

We (Sonja, Benjamin and 3 littles) are a small family connected with an amazing community of likeminded people looking to start a restorative farming business on a beautiful chunk of land.

We come with over a decade of farming experience, mostly livestock however we are also permaculture certified and experienced horticulturists. We believe in responsible land stewardship, no chemical use on land and designing your plan to fit the land, not the other way around.

We are looking for acreage suitable for large scale herb production which is the focus of our business plan. Year round creek is essential! Integration with livestock is important, a mix of poultry, goats and hogs for forest management, carbon sequestration and soil building. Ability to build structures on property is important for vision of homestead.

Interested in either lease to own contracts or purchase outright.

Describe your farming experience

10+ years managing and operating large production farms.
Animal husbandry: Goats, Cows (beef/dairy), Waterfowl and Poultry, Rabbits, Hogs, Horses.
Experienced in Permaculture, Rotational Grazing, No-Till Farming, Responsible Animal Husbandry
Construction and Contracting, Fence building (Electric, cattle and hog)
Farm Operations; Administrative, Farmers Markets, Sales, Marketing, Training, Workshops and Classes.
Orchard management, pruning, gardening, planting, lasagna gardening, no chemical gardening.

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

Installation of Farm Business within 4-6 month of move in (Planting, building etc)
Business is making income within 1st year, by 5rd year yielding desirable income from farm operations as well as agtourism, classes and workshops.
Making improvements to water movement on land, keyline fence building after 2 years.

What are your long term goals

Ability to support and self sustaining community on the same property. Successful farm business, closed loop system. Regular workshops and classes to help encourage wider community to gain skills and knowledge to contribute back to their communities.

Describe your housing needs

Comfortable with RV Living until able to build. Ideally house already available upon arrival.
