Myself and my partner, Iain, are first generation farmers looking to acquire land. Our dream is to own our own farming enterprise and create a life rooted in nature, sustainability, and connection to the land. We are looking for land in the Portland or Bend area to be close to family. Ideally our farm will become a generational farm with family members and our future kids all involved.
Water rights, wells, no-till land or land that has been farmed using organic or permaculture farming practices.
I have worked on an organic, non-profit farm for over a year. I started as a volunteer and am now the Program Manager and educational lead. I am passionate about farming, sustainability and creating a better future for the generations to come.
Short term goals are to acquire land and launch an enterprise, ideally with existing infrastructure. Our interests are produce, pasture raised animals, flowers, and poultry.
Long term goals are to own a successful enterprise and create a sustainable farm for our family and the future generations to come. I am an educator so ideally we would also have an outdoor education component for kids and families to learn.
We are a young couple and are going to start a family so we are looking to buy a home.
