Property consists of primarily flat usable acres (currently in hay), some water rights, and some treed hillside. Currently all barns/storage buildings are in use, but can work something out if shelters or small buildings are needed.
Currently raised onsite are horses, cows, sheep, goats and pigs.
To find motivated people wanting to expand the diversity we can offer from this property without laxing on quality and integrity to both the animals and the land. Most of all the person needs to be self motivated, open to learning, trustworthy, not lazy, and respectful of the land and animals.
Ideally would like to have a commercial kitchen using primarily ingredients grown/raised on the farm. Meat, milk, cheese, herbs, fruits, vegetables and mushrooms.
We currently raise 3 sheep groups. One for selling registered fullblood Dorpers, dairy sheep, and meat sheep.
In the process of obtaining milk goats as well.
Primary focus is on our registered Meishan pigs.
Will also be haying the field this coming season.
55 acres of water rights from nearby river.
I have that info somewhere among all my binders.......Can find out later.
Old manufactured home for the right person.
Can set up for travel trailer/rv area.
Storage buildings and greenhouses possible.
If under partnership, tractors, fencing, tools, and even livestock/setup equipment can possibly be provided.
I am very particular in the mind set of those who come to the farm, work on the farm and live onsite. No illegal drugs allowed, excessive cursing, any animal cruelty, mind set of pillaging the land without giving back to its wellbeing, etc. During the summer months, I have a lot of youth kids helping out on the farm to gain experience and knowledge, so I need a wholesome place the parent feel comfortable bring their kids to.
To contact a land holder, you must first fill out a land seeker profile and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
