I own a small(< 5 acre) property that has some available land for farming (about 1/2 acre) converted from pasture last fall with a cover crop. I will be using a small part of this for an OSU tepary bean dryland trial, but the rest will be available. Water is available from a well, but I do not have water rights for the property. The total pasture area is about 3 acres, and the balance is my residence, barn, fenced garden, and orchard. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone to experiment with winter vegetables.
I would love to connect with someone who wanted to learn care and handling of horses, and could help me with daily care so I would be able to get away for periods of time. Very willing to train the right person, and my horses are easy to work with.
Advance a sustainable lifestyle, continue to improve the soil and property.
I would like to find a person or persons who could work with me as partners on this farm; some legal arrangement such as a farm trust could be arranged with the right person, so this could evolve into a long term situation.
An integrated, regenerative farm that could be used as a training site for beginning farmers.
As mentioned above, this could transition into a shared property situation with the right person(s). I am hoping to find reliable, trustworthy partners.
