Permaculture/Regenerative opportunity with residence

Description

Previous farmlink tenant is moving on – a success!  If you’re primarily interested in developing your skills and experience around permaculture/regenerative principles and want to live in the middle of your work then we should talk.

Property is a mix of forest, pasture and orchard.  Its not strictly organic but no pesticides have been applied in years.  There are two residences on the property. Pastures are undergoing restoration.

Owner’s Short Term Vision for the Property

Building soil, improving fencing, planting silvopasture.

Owner’s Long Term Vision for the Property

An untilled, climate resilient, food producing and generally useful piece of land educating and caring for people and earth.

Current Use

Many mixed uses: chickens (eggs & meat), personal gardens, pasture, forest products. We've had hogs, goats and a herd of cattle.

Available Water / Irrigation

Well water, but no water rights for irrigation.

Buildings and Structures Available for Farm Use

A barn and some storage buildings may be available for your use.

Farm Equipment Available for Use, Sale or Lease

The property has a fair complement of tractors, implements and handtools.

Any Restrictions That Could Limit Agricultural Production

Without irrigation rights you're limited to livestock (can water all you want), small personal/non-commercial garden and dry farming ... which should ignite the permaculturalist in you!

What are you doing as a landholder to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your land and in your community?

All people interested in soil health and permaculture/regenerative approaches are welcome. We are humble and don't profess to have answers, only a path.
