We are a French couple in their 40’s who recently acquired a 5 acres property 2 miles north of Bend.
We started working on the property to transform it in a permaculture farm to become self sustainable with the vision to welcome guests at some point (eco- tourism). We had zero experience and we both have day jobs for the moment. We had to learn fast! But between the land clearing, the fencing, the animals, the butchering, the irrigation work – it is a super tight schedule for us. Also we need help getting a vision on what we could do.
We would welcome to our place same-minded people – we are interested in community and shared resources. We could handle the livestocks where the other couple couple handle more the vegetable garden side.. Plenty of projects in the pipeline – building a greenhouse, a huge barn, tree management, wood structure, etc.
We have housing available – a super large and nice. While we could rent it just to make money – we would prefer to have a couple interested in farming with us (Looking for a win-win situation). We are ok if you prefer to live in your trailer on the property instead.
Livestock: sheets, goats, chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks, pigs and yes we eat them all!
We have a shop, a inside garden area, garages, a little tractor (that could), and a lot of energy!
Property is fully fenced – it has its own water well, high speed internet, great neighbors and same minded farmers .
Feel free to questions. email is preferred
