Beautiful small farm just outside of Talent in need of new land stewards. Nearly 4 acres of class 1 soils, level to gently sloping, with flood irrigation and mostly fenced. We’re a friendly retired couple living on site who wish to stay on the land but need a younger farmer to take over and continue to grow hay or another crop (just not hemp or cannabis). Prefer organic or regenerative methods. There is a possibility of including a stand-alone studio apartment. We have a small animal sanctuary including rescued horses, chickens and turkeys, but a portion of our barn is available for storage. Some work-trade may be an option.
We'd like a friendly and responsible person to handle all aspects of farming all or part of the available four acres.
Same as short-term, but we would like someone living on site (we have a studio apartment and one-bedroom cottage currently rented) who would be willing to look after our animals so that we are able to travel.
We grow grass hay
Two water districts cover the full acreage. Flood irrigation from Talent Irrigation District (TID) supplies most of the water. We also use sprinklers from our ponds supplied by the Beason-Robison Irrigation District.

Tractor with bucket, front-end loader, scrapper, blade, auger, tools
We are openminded about accepting all types of people as long as they are responsible.
To contact a land holder, you must first fill out a land seeker profile and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
