11 acres of irrigated ground that has historically been used for alfalfa / hay production.
The field has good soil, established irrigation with senior water rights (Applegate River and Thompson Creek), and access for farm equipment via a private road easement. It has been maintained but not actively farmed the past couple of seasons, and I’m looking to lease it to a local operator for hay production.
I realize the season is already underway, so I’m open to a flexible, straightforward arrangement for this year—whether that’s a cash lease, partial-season use, or another structure that makes sense given timing.
If you or someone you know might be interested, I’d be happy to connect, walk the property, and discuss details.
Professional farmer to farm field.
Continue to utilize the 11.5 acre field for hay production and preserve EFU status of property.
Open field mowed with tractor and brush hog - pasture.
1894 water rights and 1963 water rights for 11.5 acre field - Applegate River via Berryman Ditch and Thompson Creek
Not actively farmed past few seasons but maintained/mowed. No known chemical program in recent years
I value a straightforward, respectful, and professional working relationship. My goal is to find a reliable farmer who takes pride in their work and cares for the land, and in return I aim to be a fair and responsive landowner. Ultimately, I’m looking for a mutually beneficial arrangement where the land is well managed, and both parties feel the relationship is fair, transparent, and easy to maintain.
