For lease or partnership use. 20+ acres in Marion County (South Salem).

For lease or shared use 20+ acres in S.Salem. Hilly terrain, free of trees, currently in native grass and/or weeds. South facing slope. 600 to 900 ft elevation. Would be interested in dry land farming as I don’t have water rights. I have some farming equipment that I’d be willing to share. Any growing should be with sustainable methods, possibly no till, using natural or organic amendments. I’d be open to just about any kind of arrangement except a land sale.

Owner’s Short Term Vision for the Property

I’d like to find some young person wanting to work the land while learning to be a successful farmer. I am available to assist but don’t have practical farming knowledge. I see our collaboration as a way for us both to learn.

Owner’s Long Term Vision for the Property

The longer view would be for the land to produce viable crops through dry land farming and possibly raising some livestock for personal use or sale.
