For Lease/Trade/Partnership – Approximately two acres near Sherwood, Oregon

Description

Two acres – pasture land with some fencing. Barn available with two horse stalls, covered paddock area and loft. Barn adjoins pasture.

Owner’s Short Term Vision for the Property

We are expanding the orchard this spring to include a variety of additional fruit trees. We plan to plant another large vegetable garden this year.

Owner’s Long Term Vision for the Property

We would love to have someone who is interested in farming put this beautiful land to use. Years ago we had a couple of horses. We also have had chickens. On the land outside of the pasture area we have a small orchard with well maintained fruit trees - several different types of pears & apples, figs trees and seedless table grapes. If someone wants to tend to and market the fruit from our small orchard we’re open to that possibility as well as leasing the pasture.

Current Use

Pasture. A small section has Pinot Noir vines.

Available Water / Irrigation

The property has a well. There is partial fencing around the property. It would need to be supplemented if desired to contain animals or deter deer.

Soil Type / Quality

Cornelius and Kinton silt loams

Buildings and Structures Available for Farm Use

Barn - shared space

Any Restrictions That Could Limit Agricultural Production

If extensive irrigation is required, we will need to evaluate water/irrigation capacity of our existing well.

What are you doing as a landholder to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your land and in your community?

We have a friendly neighborhood. We would make sure our neighbors knew about any lease arrangements that we enter into. Our neighbor directly to the North of our property has an organic pear farm.
