Our eight-acre organic farm in Beavercreek, OR (southeast of Oregon City) includes two fenced pastures (total of about four acres) that we are no longer using. For several years we raised lamb for local sale, but because we’re getting older we are no longer breeding sheep.
We hope a local farmer, perhaps one who is starting out, would be able to use these fields for raising small livestock. There is a large field shelter (accessible from either field), a line of fir trees for shade and a water trough. Sustainability is important to us, so we would need an agreement as to the number of animals placed in the pastures.
We welcome BIPOC farmers. Rent would be negotiable, with the option of working a few hours each month in exchange for part of the rent.

We would like to share the land with a new farmer.
We intend to stay on the property, but we only use part of it for our remaining elderly ewes and llamas and our gardens.
There is a hose to fill the trough.
The soil is still recovering from growing Christmas trees that were harvested in 2003.
