This was my Grandfather’s main pasture land for grazing cattle on his 230 acre ranch. It is now quite overgrown with brush and is only partial fenced. Lease would include first 2 years free to set up: fencing etc. First and last year(zero for first) due at lease signing. This would be perfect for meat goat and cattle ranching with rotational grazing, and I am partial to animal farmers, but am open to other ideas. It also has forested areas. Other animals Ok too, especially if they fit into a rotational grazing system. You can also grow things, and the land should be eligible for Organic certification, as it has had no chemicals used since Grandpa quit farming in the 1990s.
Also, lots of natural resources on the land that you would have access to. Wild apples, blackberries, rosehips, mint and more!
Looking for an experienced farmer of 10 years or more. Unfortunately no occupancy is available. But an RV park is nearby, or the little town of Cottage Grove Oregon is 7 miles away.
The land is very remote, bordered by BLM, and 3000 acres grass fed beef Hawley Ranch.
Generate some income.
Brush control
Pasture land restored and healthy.
I would also love to see it Certified Organic!
It is not currently, except the 5 acres I am on with my goats. The farm is 30 acres total. But 25 are being leased. First two years at no cost, and leaser can take all removable fencing, barns etc that he has provided when lease terminates, or we can arrange to buy from him.
2 creeks, one year around, one 6 months. We have full water rights for farm use on the 25 acres.
Red clay and Sandy Loam.
Different in various areas.
Partially fenced
3 large cattle feeders for field feeding.
None
Open to everyone.
