For lease: 1 acre in Tillamook

Owner’s Short Term Vision for the Property

Since Shelly was diagnosed with ALS, Richard is not available to maintain the property. We would like to find an inspired farmer to use the land, and help maintain the property. We are open to have a responsible farmer on the land.

Owner’s Long Term Vision for the Property

This is Richard's area to discuss. Shelly is filling out this survey, and likely she won't be alive very long to answer this question. We live 9 miles north of the property, east of Bay City, and have four acres. There may be some land where we live that could be accessible for greens productions.

Current Use

there are fruit trees, berry bushes and other plants available on site, but we are not farming on the property. Shelly Bowe was recently diagnosed with ALS, and has mobility issues, Richard is her caretaker.

Soil Type / Quality

soil is loamy, there is a dairy just across the street; the property is on a South Prairie Water District system. No irrigation system

Buildings and Structures Available for Farm Use

There is a single wide trailer with car port on the property, but we are wanting to get rid of that trailer. There is a 18' camp trailer that could be available to a farmer. There is a large shop, that we maintain control over and access to it, on the land.

Farm Equipment Available for Use, Sale or Lease

Would have to check with Food Roots, in Tillamook about the tractor they own which is stored on the property, along with a tiller attachment.

Any Restrictions That Could Limit Agricultural Production

not that we are aware of; we would require good maintenance of the property
