Hello! I am moving to a 7 acre farm in early January an hoping to find some fantastic people to farm it! This fully deer fenced and gated property includes great southern exposure, fruit trees, water rights, nice out buildings with a 20 x 22 barn, chicken mansion, garden shed, pump house, dog runs and more! Organic soils are premium and ripe for planting! There is a seasonal pond and a strong well. Currently, there is a large field of lavender, a fair about of field space that is already in rows with great soil, and a large pasture. I love farms and farming, but have another job and do not intend to manage the majority of these acres. I do plan to use the property as a place to hold events, host people, and bring in community. I am open to lots of ideas of how to use the land: bees, vegetables, goats, chickens, lavender, and so forth.
Once the sale is final, I will get much more information from the previous owners about soil quality, drainage, existing plants, and so forth. Housing may be available, depending on the situation. My house could house another person if it was a good fit. Otherwise, a yurt or trailer on the property is definitely a possibility.
I’m excited for what this project can yield!
To open up the land to farmers who I align with.
I want the farm to be a very community oriented place that is in full food production. A large portion of the land will be reserved for events and housing, but the rest should be maximized in a diversified farm.
It is unoccupied until I move there in early January.
There is a water right and a well. The well runs at 30 gallons/min
The soil is quite good. I will need to get more details from the sellers and possibly lab tests. But the previous owners used organic practices and took care of the land well.
1 small and 1 medium green house. One garden shed. Covered storage. One barn. A large chicken coop.
Some wire, wood, irrigation lines, hoses, plant pots.
none that I am aware of.
To contact a land holder, you must first fill out a land seeker profile and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
