We have available roughly a half acre to 5 acres of land available near Forest Grove, OR. We have upwards of an acre of cultivatable land and about 4 acres of pasture available depending on what arrangement we determine works best for us and interested folks. Irrigation is available as we are on the TVID but some reconfiguring of valves would be necessary to convert to drip.
We have some available barn space and room in the pole shed for tool and equipment storage. We also have a small tractor with a few implements we would be open to sharing under the right circumstances.
Unfortunately at this point we do not have housing available. This land is also our family’s home so we ask folks be mindful of that. Ideally we’re just looking for people to be good stewards of the land, hopefully this could go on for a few years as we have some space available that isn’t currently being utilized in our projected farm plan.
We look forward to speaking with folks to try and work out a suitable arrangement. Although we would have our separate spaces to a degree, it would be best to find something that works to everyones mutual benefit.
Looking forward to speaking with folks.
To find folks to be good stewards of the available, unused portions of the land. This could be a good way to provide access to land for folks maybe wanting to start their own farming business or refine their current small scale farm plan.
Ideally it is our hope that both parties find an arrangement we consider to be mutually beneficial and it could go on for number of years. We currently farm a portion of the land, and plan on continuing to do so in the future. We have thought about acquiring additional livestock down the road which might change the amount of pasture space available, but this is not in the immediate future.
