We have 60 acres of land that is suitable for regenerative farming. Seventeen acres is currently planted to grapes that are grown using organic practices. As the new stewards of this land we want to improve it through regenerative practices and move toward an organic farming operation. There is about 20 acres of class I soil that is currently fallow. The property has 50 acres of irrigation rights and two ponds for irrigation.
Other facilities and equipment already in place include a greenhouse, shop building, tractor and other farm implements. A well, power, farm roads and fencing are in place. What we are hoping to find are some experienced and motivated farmers to help us turn a nice parcel of land into a working farm. Our ideas for use range from growing seeds, vegetables, building an orchard, goats, sheep or chickens. All of these options are very achievable on this property. We are not interested in growing hemp or pot.
Improve pasture conditions, establish a small orchard and utilize fallow farmland in a vegetable or seed growing operation.
Create a diversified farm using permaculture and regenerative practices to produce heathy products for our local community. We want to offer a chance for young farmers to employ their energy and creativity while earning a living through farmers market sales, a CSA or other income streams.
