Certified Organic Farmland for Rent in Sandy, Oregon
I have .5 acres of irrigated certified organic farm land, plus infrastructure that would be perfect for a beginning or small scale farmer. The land was farmed using certified organic practices for seven years and has sat fallow for one season. During the time that I was actively running my farm business off of this property I was grossing an average of $50K a year in produce sales. The land is currently under silage tarps and was cover cropped last season. In addition to the .5 acres of irrigated land I also have quite a bit of infrastructure available. I live in a house on the property where the land is being leased along with two housemates, four ducks and three cats. The total property is three acres and includes some pastureland, perennial hedgerows, a home garden space and other infrastructure such as barns, a tiny house and trailer which are not included in the land for rent.
The farm rental would include the following:
I am asking $500/month for access to the land and all the infrastructure listed above, this would also cover bills for water and electricity usage. Access to the BCS walk behind tractor would be an additional charge per hour used.
Please contact Lili Tova for more information flyingcoyotefarm@gmail.com
I would like to find someone who is interested in a long term lease to farm on the available land and utilize the existing infrastructure.
