5-10 Acres flat pastureland in Southern Oregon

Description

We are seeking farm partners. We have recently purchased a 40 acre homestead along the South Umpqua River in Southern Oregon. We have 5 acres of irrigation rights and a spring. Our future goal is to develop a working collaborative farm and establish an LLC where individuals can invest in shares of the property and are working collaboratively to create farm products to sell on site as well as at farmer’s markets. We would also like to do historical homestead skills events in the summer and youth camps. Currently we are raising goats and sheep and have some horses boarding on the pastures. The homestead is old and needs updating, pastures need to be re-fenced. There is an older barn that is functional but needs some TLC, well everything needs TLC …. There is an older orchard with a few overgrown trees but plenty of room to plant new trees. There is a garden space as well as an older grape vineyard. Currently we can only house 1-2 extra individuals until we update the septic system. We would like to build a mini-farm school, mini-natural history museum as well as a fiber arts workshop on site. Ideally farm partners would come with carpentry skills/and or DYI skills. I am currently leasing a shop in the small town close to our farm that could be utilized as a workshop/retail space for product.

Ideal candidate would be fine with leasing a room in an older mobile on the property or bringing their own RV until tiny home or studio suite could be built. Would help get the garden back in shape and could work from home ( we have high speed internet) and assist in caretaking livestock. Rent and/or lease is negotiable depending on projects you are bringing to the table and space you wish to occupy.
