I live on a 10 acre woodlot in Banks, Oregon. We are located about 40 min from Portland, and 1 hr from the Coast. The land is zoned for agriculture, and is currently about 3/4 woodlot, and 1/4 open hillside with some very flat gardening area near the main house.
There is a lot of potential to create terraces, polyculture and food forests. The area near the house gets a good amount of daytime sun. There is a running well, and electricity nearby. No barn, but we do have a garden shed on site to store tools.
I’d like to find someone who has experience in permaculture or sustainable farming who will collaborate with me to design the area and who would be interested in either leasing or possibly bartering for land use. I can’t offer housing at the moment, but if you are in the area, this would be a short commute from Westside.
To design a permaculture-inspired space that includes: polyculture, medicinal garden, native wild edibles, and beneficial pollinator species etc.
Create a sustainable woodlot alongside polyculture foodforest and garden that promotes diversity and habitat through use of native edibles and medicinal species.
