G’day!

I own a 5-acre farm just outside Ashland on which I’ve regeneratively and humanely raised rotationally-grazed, pastured lamb for 14 years. For a number of reasons, I had to shut that operation down. I’d like to transition to leasing to a rotational poultry operation (eggs or meat) and alternate that with hay. So, poultry would start on the back pasture while I hay the front the first year, then switch for the second, etc. Both pastures are hard-fenced, have a hot wire for hooking up electrified netting, come with a small shelter in which to store supplies, and have easy potable (well) water access and hose long enough to reach any paddock created. In exchange, I would ask lessee for the following:

1. Take over irrigation of the pasture they are using (back is irrigated by handline moved 4 times every other week, front is irrigated by flood and watergun running every other week Saturday night – Monday morning with TID determining start and end dates of irrigation)
2. Take over weed whacking the fence line of pasture lessee is using for optimal performance of their electric netting
3. Provide eggs or meat at a value of $100 over the course of each lease year

This opportunity is for poultry production only. No ruminants. No housing.
