Caretaker and 1/4 Acre Land Share Opportunity Near Vernonia, Oregon (foothills of NW Oregon Coast Range)

Description

I own 28 acres of primarily forestland but also have several acres of pasture that can be converted to farmland for high intensity farming.  In trade for working this piece of land for your own use, you would also work 25 hours per week helping me with my wedding venue business.  As part of this trade, you would be able to live on the property in a new fully self contained tiny home and receive a $200 per month stipend for food.

So to summarize, you would help establish a 1/4-1/2 acre plot of farmland that you would be able to farm for your own purposes.  I would provide the financial capital to establish this plot of farmland … you would provide the labor.  Additionally, you would help me maintain the wedding venue for 25 hours per week.  In trade for this, I would provide a fully self contained tiny home for you to live in and a $200 stipend for food.

What you bring to the table?

-You need to have an understanding of how to farm.  While I am willing to work with a beginning farmer, you have to have the experience necessary to get the farm up and running.  You would need to be able to show me a plan that makes sense for what you want to do.

-I am looking for one person.  No animals are allowed.  The idea is to promote nature … not run after it.

-You bring self motivation.  If you aren’t self motivated … don’t bother applying.  I am providing an opportunity … not the motivation!

-Physically and mentally healthy.  In order to farm you need to be physically fit.  I also want to work with someone who is mentally healthy as well.  This is a drama free zone!
