The Youth Farm is a 6-acre urban farm and collaborative educational site in Salem, Oregon that cultivates a new generation of leaders by engaging young people in farming for the community. We offer farm field trips, volunteer opportunities, a 4H club, and an intensive summer leadership development program for teens in the mid-Willamette Valley. The farm site features annual vegetable production fields, greenhouses, and perennial fruit crops grown using organic methods. The produce grown by our teens is distributed to local families through the Farm Share prescription vegetable program.

The Youth Farm Coordinator is responsible for coordinating logistics and content delivery for both the Farm Crew and Farm Share Rx programs. This position increases the Youth Farm’s community impact by providing engaging volunteer opportunities, by organizing educational activities that inspire and empower youth, and by fostering a welcoming atmosphere wherein all members of the community participate in growing and enjoying farm fresh produce.
