Winston, Oregon | 21-acre farm | Part-time or full-time | Work/housing opportunity

Are you interested in regenerative agriculture, rural living, and helping build a new farm-based educational and agritourism project?

Olalla Creek is looking for 1–2 dependable, hands-on people to join us as we develop our 21-acre farm into a thriving regenerative agriculture, education, and agritourism destination.

We are open to different arrangements depending on experience, availability, and interests—including part-time or full-time work and a work/housing arrangement.

About Olalla Creek 

Olalla Creek farm is a beautiful breath taking 21-acre property in the Winston area of Southern Oregon, within the Umpqua Valley ecoregion. 

The property currently includes:

• A small vegetable garden 
• A small orchard
• A greenhouse
• A 6-acre hayfield
• Barn and farm infrastructure
• Short-term rental accommodations

Our long-term vision is to create a regenerative farm and educational destination where people can connect with nature and learn about agriculture, land stewardship, animal husbandry, vet/farrier communication skills, horse assisted educational coaching, and sustainable living.

Future possibilities include farm-to-table experiences, workshops and clinics, agritourism events, educational programs, foraging experiences, and other farm-based activities.

The Opportunity

We are looking for 1–2 versatile people who enjoy hands-on farm work and want to be part of developing something over the long term.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Vegetable, orchard, greenhouse, and hayfield care
• General farm and grounds maintenance
• Animal care
• Planting, harvesting, watering, weeding, and other seasonal farm tasks
• Helping maintain and improve farm infrastructure
• Supporting farm visitors, events, and educational activities
• Helping develop future farm and agritourism projects

The role will be varied, and we are looking for people who are comfortable learning new skills and taking initiative.

Skills we’re especially interested in

Experience or interest in any of the following is valuable:

• Regenerative or organic farming
• Vegetable production
• Orchard/perennial crops
• Livestock and poultry
• Farm maintenance and equipment
• Agritourism and hospitality
• Events and educational programming
• Carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work

You do not need to be an expert in all of these areas. We’re interested in people who bring useful skills, are willing to learn, and want to grow with the project.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who want to grow their skills and take on increasing responsibility as the farm develops.

• Potential future participation in farm-generated proceeds as the business develops

Housing

The on-site barn living quarters is a 2 bedroom,1 bathroom, kitchenette ADU (currently being completed). 

There is also a potential to install an RV hook up for someone interested in bringing their own RV.
