The 2024 season is about to kick off and we are looking for a part-time flower farmer/florist to join our team. We are a floral design studio that grows the flowers we use in our arrangements. We grow a wide mix of flowers, foliage, bulbs and woody plants using organic, low-till practices at our farm in the beautiful Hood River Valley. We sell our flowers through weddings and events, weekly bouquet subscriptions, and select retail markets.

Part-Time Flower Farmer/Florist (16-24 hours/week) for this growing season (possibly year round).  Possibly full time for the right person. This job will be a good fit for someone who wants to immerse themselves in the world of flowers, from seed to vase. You will participate in the full range of farming tasks including care of perennial crops, seeding, greenhouse work, transplanting, weeding, irrigation, and harvest. You will also have a hand in floristry including making market bouquets, weddings and events, drying flowers, and making wreaths. The position is about 70% farming and 30% floristry.

An individual who is passionate about growing flowers, can work fast while maintaining quality standards, and has an eye for visual appeal will thrive.

The ideal candidate will have previous commercial farming experience. Floristry experience is a bonus. A full season of work experience on a farm is preferred. However, there is a lot to learn! We don’t expect you to know all the tasks, we’re happy to teach. Most of the time you’ll be working along side us until you are comfortable to take on a task on your own.
