Bridge City Farm School is now accepting applications for an eight-month farmer-training program in the Portland Metro Area. Two intensive training days per week make this program accessible for those wanting an in-depth farmer training experience in a part time capacity.
In-depth instruction will help participants understand the nuts and bolts of sustainable, small scale, market farming. We provide over 550 hours of field instruction, growing over 50 different crops during the course of the season.
With 1.5 acres in production, Bridge City Farm School focuses on training sustainable, small scale, market farmers on a real working farm in beautiful Corbett, OR. Intensive row crop production, coupled with a 40 person CSA and restaurant sales provide aspiring farmers with an opportunity to participate in the joys and challenges of farm life, just 40 minutes outside of the city.
Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional learning experience, which translates into one-on-one time in the field with an experienced farmer and educator. In exchange, we are looking for individuals who are dedicated, hard working, and open to learning. No previous gardening or farming experience is required.
