Agricultural Connections (AC) delivers farm-fresh food year-round. We sell LOCAL and REGIONAL food that bridges the gap between farmers and consumers. We strive to supply Central Oregon homes, companies, restaurants, and grocery stores with the freshest, most authentically local, organically grown and high quality products year-round.

Agricultural Connections is looking for a staff member to manage our Commercial Program for local food distribution. This position is very engaged with the local food system and will work intimately with our local farmers, local food chefs and store managers who value good food! It is a very fun, very energizing position that comes with a high level of responsibility for our team and for the business. This is a full-time position. The position will provide customer service, sales, order processing, inventory management, product expertise, vendor relations, receiving, order fulfillment and general administrative support tasks. The ideal candidate loves good food, is inspired by the local food movement, enjoys creative problem-solving, is highly detail oriented and loves collaborating with others.

  • Average weekly approximate: 38-44 hours
    • Approximate weekly schedule:
      • Sunday 9/10am – 3pm
      • Monday 5:30am – 1:30/2:30pm
      • Tuesday 10am – 6pm
      • Wednesday 5:30am – 2:30pm (with 1 hour of farm order processing that evening 8-9pm or the following morning 6-7am)
      • Thursday (6-7am),  10am – 5pm
      • Friday 5:30 – 7:30/8am
  • Job Scope & Tasks:
    • Product management and farm partner/vendor relations & correspondence
    • Online Inventory updates
    • Bi-Weekly Product Availability updates — “Farm Fresh Pick List”
    • Customer correspondence via email/phone/text
    • Commercial Program order processing
    • Organize and produce Commercial Program fulfillment materials
    • Manage/organize valley courier route and commercial delivery routes
    • Oversee the driver position
    • Receiving and digital order fulfillment
    • Basic website management
    • Sales blasts
    • Harvest Box contents design
    • Back up delivery driver if the need arises
    • Report to the business owner

Must have great interpersonal skills for being the direct point of contact for commercial clients and vendors. Must have excellent communication and writing skills, experience with spreadsheets and comfort with cloud-based systems. Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and ability to lift/move 20-40# cases.
