Will trade sweat for experience: Looking to help out on your productive farm

?

Land Seeker Description

My wife and I are inexperienced farmers who are seeking a diverse and productive farm where we can donate our time and energy to all the daily chores while we learn more about the business of farming.  We are hoping to live somewhere at least a year, possibly longer if all parties are interested.  Our goal is to learn through doing with the ultimate goal of starting our own farm one day.  We believe in sustainable farming and living.

Jennifer has had a vegetable and flower garden for many years, and last year she began to work on an organic farm and CSA while I was volunteering abroad.  At the same time, she took horticulture courses at a community college.  Soon after my return to the US, she was offered a job in her regular field of hospitality and spa management.  She is now the Wellness Director at a resort in Thailand.  However, she dreams of returning to the farming life.

Kevin gained some farming experience in Hawaii while volunteering at an organic farm and food forest.  His background as a CPA hasn’t stopped him from camping and hiking whenever possible, and he also has gained valuable handyman experience by helping a friend renovate condominiums for years.  He wishes to work with Jennifer to learn the practicalities of running a farm in hopes of starting one in the future.  We are available for interview by Messenger/Skype/Whatsapp/etc.
