My name is Nancy and I sustainably grow cut flowers for weddings throughout the city of Portland. Our primary crops are heirloom garden roses, dahlias and peonies, but we grow smaller quantities of annuals and other perennials as well. We currently farm on multiple plots of land throughout Portland’s inner Eastside and are looking for a single 1/4-1 acer lot to be able to consolidate our plants into one location. It is important to us that we stay in the city, rather than outlaying rural areas, to best serve our existing clients. We also hope to arrange a long term agreement since roses and peonies become stressed and less productive when moved frequently.
urban location, water on site, flat land, preferably sustainable practices previously used, existing structure or ok to add small structure for harvesting.
i am a passionate gardener turned flower farmer. i have always tended to a garden, but the demand for locally grown flowers for wedding design work has grown exponentially over the past few years so i expanded my garden to offer different varieties of flowers to local designers. this will be my 3rd season sustainably farming on this slightly larger scale.
i am immediately seeking a larger location where all of my plants can be consolidated to grow and mature without being disturbed/moved. i would like to continue to grow slowly and expand my offerings.
my long term dream is to create a space that is both functional and beautiful. a farm that is productive for my business, but is inviting like a garden. possibly a place where gatherings can be held and educational opportunities can be offered. i would like to continue to add new varieties and develop the land into something special.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
