My family and I are seeking an opportunity to put our sustainable farming experience and education to work. We currently farm in eastern Oregon but are open to almost anywhere in the state for our next adventure. I (Kieth) have experience and education in permaculture, organic use and implementation, sustainability practices and traditional farming. We would be interested in a farm that is looking to build its present operation and/or go a whole new direction but just need a little help with muscle or brain power (or both) to get there. I consider myself an problem solver and look to put that to work. My wife has experience with marketing, sales, and the business side and can be a true asset in making a farm pay. We would like to explore farmer’s markets, direct-to-consumer sales, online marketing and any other avenues open to us to build a profitable and sustainable farming business.
water is essential but a small amount can be made into a huge asset with the right practices put in place. Pasture and crop land. It is possible to make any soil fertile, you just have to listen to it and learn what it needs naturally.
I was raised on a farm but spent quite a bit of my adult life wishing I could go back. I have been actively farming and ranching since 2022. Before that I was furthering my education and learning more about permaculture and sustainability farming.
To listen to the land and learn what is best for that particular patch of earth. I would like to have a long term plan outlined and have taken the first step or two towards that plan.
To have a thriving farm with animals and crops that are harvested each year. To have an established farm stand/farmers market presence. To have a firmly established direct-to-consumer pipeline
we would need two bedrooms.
People need to be able to thrive wherever they are planted. It is the ultimate arrogance to assume that any person should conform to my way of thinking. I hope others ascribe to this same philosophy. I have a strong faith and daily walk with the Lord and it is through Him that I am welcoming to diverse people and diverse backgrounds.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
