Seeking Partnership: 2 – 20 acres in Lane County

Land Seeker Description

We are a family of four recently displaced from Hawaii. Ian, 32, Alexandra, 31, Sapphire, 4, Elijah, 2.

We are looking to re-establish our herbal tea and medicine garden for the Tea House business we lost back on Hawaii. Our tea garden was just one of the features, we also had a food forest and nursery business, egg laying hens, and 5 goats that were intended for milk production but our plans were cut short before we could start that. We had plans for getting a Bee hive as well for honey to make the Tea House even more profitable, and starting an educational program/school for children. We are open to beginning all of this again, and more!

Partnering with the right land and the right people will certainly result in some amazing things. Looking forward to hearing from you!

What features of the property are essential?

Clean water, no Roundup.

Describe your farming experience

My experience includes Hemp/CBD Consultant, Extraction Laboratory Engineer, Farm Manager, Permaculture Consultant, Wilderness First Responder, Certified Outdoor Educator, Lifeguard, Commercial Sales and Distribution, Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Service, etc.

Are you currently farming?

What are your short term goals for the land

Tea and Herb garden
Tea House
Milk and cheese production
Certified commercial kitchen
Value added products
Food forest

What are your long term goals

The School and business aspects have the potential for continual expansion, eventually turning the property into an educational and healing center with events, retreats, and certification courses, etc.
We are a Federally registered 501c3 Church, authorized by the Lakota Rosebud Nation. I am a registered Custodian of Medicine, and will build and run traditional sweatlodge wherever and whenever I am able, if the landowner approves. The property will eventually be an Eden-like paradise, a working educational model of self sustainability, ecological integrity, and love of community.

Describe your housing needs

Anything that keeps us safe from the elements.

What will you do as a farmer to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on your farm and in your community?

I will do my best to portray a healthy balance of love and wisdom, striving to serve those around me with patience, kindness, and humility.
While everyone’s background is relevant to me, I am much more interested in what someone is doing with their current thoughts, words, and actions, and how they affect the world around them. Different shades of a Human Race have been divided by ignorance for far too long. We won’t perpetuate any of that.
