My name is Grace. My husband Andy, and I have three young boys. We envision a homestead/permaculture enterprise with varying revenue streams. Our dream is raise our family on a homestead surrounded by fresh air and clean food. My husband is a skilled grounds keeper/handy man and has experience managing a small herd of mixed livestock: sheep, goats & cattle. In addition, he is an avid hunter and has experience with farm animal dispatch and butchering. I have an associates degree from Virginia Tech in livestock management and extensive agricultural job history. Including greenhouse, market garden, retail, equine, beef & dairy cattle. We have an open mind about potential collaborations and are willing to explore all possibilities.
Needs to have all the basics. Power, water, usable land. Will not consider land that has history or glyphosate use/conventional farming.
Irrigation, large equipment use, beef cattle, grass/fed dairy, equine mgmt, backyard chickens, hay production, nursery greenhouse, market flower garden, farm retail, homestead animal processing, FFA market sheep, hauling large trailers
Utilize and maintain existing infrastructure and revenue streams. Observe what can be improved upon or added to diversify income. Develop a plan to increase value and create biodiversity through permaculture practices.
Incorporating multiple revenue streams such as: honey, flowers, mushrooms, perennial fruit and herbs, poultry, rabbits, dairy (goat or cattle) and beef if land allows. The goal is to establish multiple low labor input income generators (example: bees, berries) with a select one or two high labor input income generating sources. (Example: dairy, market garden)
We currently own/live in our fifth wheel RV. Our goal is to move into a home this year.
Everyone deserves clean and healthy food to eat from their local community. It’s our plan to create a safe and inviting environment for our children to grow and foster a desire for responsible stewardship. So too all who join in the experience.
To contact a land seeker, you must first create a land listing and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
