The farm is located on 10 acres of south facing slope above the Sandy River. For 15 years we’ve grown row crops, fruits, flowers & herbs primarily for CSA & restaurants. We’ve consistently improved our silt loam soil with annual applications of compost and cover crops. We’ve always used organic practices such as crop rotations, soil friendly tillage & equipment, drip irrigation and planting for beneficials. Due to one owner’s new (& unexpected) job, we are not able to continue at that intensive level this year. Here we are, with all the makings for a fully functional small farm and we’d love the right person to use the available .75 to 1.5 ac fields for their own operation. Access to perennial herbs and orchard fruit also possible.
We'd like to have multiple operations fully utilizing our fertile land and ready-to-use infrastructure. We have two right now, with room for one more. We are only interested in an experienced farmer who's looking for a small-scale plug & play opportunity.
We want to continue to care for the land and provide sustainably-grown food for our community. Either by ourselves or with compatible partners, we see this land continuing to be productive. Our farm grows very high-quality produce and is close to Portland's thriving food scene.
Right now fields are in cover crop.
