Our large family bought a little slice of Paradise about an hour west of Eugene in the town of Deadwood. We are looking for an individual or couple, with a RV/Trailer, Tiny House, to live on the property in exchange for upkeep and helping establish a small family farm. (We may be open to purchasing a trailer or building a cabin for you) The property is 40 acres with 2 houses, 3 streams, 5 ponds, an acre lake, about 13 acres of hay fields with irrigation rights from the creek, small established orchard , raised beds with irrigation, green house, tools, etc. The property is truly spectacular and “one of a kind” and we are looking for that “one of kind” caretaker.
We are not necessary looking for a profit, but would be very open to all ideas and a for profit partnership. We have discussed doing vacation rentals that would be managed by the caretaker. If we can profit, we would definitely share the wealth! We really just want to be able to enjoy and eat from the garden when we visit. We would also like to establish chickens and a few other barnyard animals. We can contribute to start up costs.
We would expect the property to be mowed regularly and kept up through out. Experience with mower or small tractors is a big plus, or the ability to learn fast. Experience with a chainsaw is another huge plus. There are lots handyman type jobs that pop up on a regular basis. This is a remote property about 10 mins to Deadwood market. We are very friendly but when we visit we would definitely give you space and expect the same from you.
We have a spring fed water system, electricity, internet, cable, outdoor shower available.
Thanks for reading and please reach out if you think you are a good fit.
