Owner’s Short Term Vision for the Property

Permaculture Orcharding: further development and maintenance of existing more conventional orchards (60 trees) and recently established permaculture orchard of a 100 trees and shrubs.
Management of pasture for the production of mixed animal products i.e. grass fed beef and lamb, pastured poultry. Establishment Holistic Grazing Management.
Continued Management of 1-1.5 acre market garden for sale or community use.


Owner’s Long Term Vision for the Property

We imagine multiple different farmers running diverse, complementary and mostly autonomous enterprises. These endeavors would all be committed to using and developing permaculture principles such as land care, people care, distributing surplus, and closing energy/input loops.


Current Use

Sam, the farm manager, is growing 1 acre of vegies, strawberries, and asparagus for farmers markets and 1 restaurant account.
We also have 2 chicken tractors providing eggs for the community as well as 4 guineau hogs roaming on 8 acres of pasture.


Available Water / Irrigation

We have irrigation rights for 30 acres of pasture off a year round creek. We have a pipe that goes into Yale Creek 1 mile upstream from the property and gravity feeds (mostly in a piped ditch) all the way to our main pond which we both pump out of for the highly pressurized irrigation systems or drip irrigate through gravity pressure.
