For lease or partnership: 47 acres in Harrisburg

Owner’s Short Term Vision for the Property

We will work with the new farmer to build up the soil profile, begin transition to organic production, and improve the ecosystem health. We'll install hedge rows to attract beneficial insects, and we'll improve drainage. We'll create an attractive retail space, and consider u-pick operations, to invite public interaction.

Owner’s Long Term Vision for the Property

Our intention is to establish an organic orchard and produce farm for farm stand, and perhaps direct marketing to restaurants, CSA and/or farmers market. We envision public events and public farm access, to promote public awareness of sustainable farming practices. We expect to always include apprenticeship, internship and partnering opportunities for entry-level farmers.
