I have 37 acres of tillable land.  The acreage is non-irrigated Woodburn soil with no water rights.  Although there is housing on the property, it is already being rented out and is supported by the Perrydale Municipal Water District.  I may consider having a well drilled if for the right opportunity.  The property is currently on a 5 year lease for grass seed farming, with the lease ending in November of 2018.

My ideal goal would be to move toward limiting or eliminating the use of herbicides and pesticides on the property. I would like to do what I can to improve the livability and sustainable farming practices. My grandparents purchased the property in the 1920's and at one time, it was about 400 acres in size. I would like to do all that I can to maximize the profitability without compromising sensible farming practices that will leave the land better than I found it during the remainder of my life and leave that legacy for my children and grandchildren to follow. While it would be a major undertaking, I would like to be capable of implementing an off-grid farming model which could incorporate the use of manual irrigation methods using either a windmill or a manual pump such as what is available at waterbuckpump.com which also uses a windmill sized pump cylinder.
