we hold an annual music festival on our property and do occasional events, so any lessee would have to be okay with that. I am an artist and I currently use a portion of the shop next to the house for my studio. I’d be open to shifting things around and working with individuals.
I would love to have someone do something with the 1.5 acres that surrounds the house. It is a neglected pasture at the moment, but has great visibility and potential. Whether that would be flowers, animals, a nursery or food, we are open. We want to see it utilized in a higher manner!
Would love to have the shop space be converted to a farm stand of some type with art incorporated.
We have some acres in hay and some of the land is fallow. The lower acreage (10.54 acres) is certified organic and the upper acreage has not been sprayed for 1.5 years.
the soil is clay in the lower part, so raised beds or amendments would be necessary. Some areas are better drained than others. The upper fields (some of which could be negotiable) has better drainage, but no water. There is river rights to the 1.5 acres of the lower field from the Yamhill River. The rest of the property does not have water rights.
there is a chicken coop/small barn space, a lean2 and a shared shop on the 1.5 acres. Potential for shared barn space on the upper property
we have a tractor that is old and ornery but can be shared
some of the property is an event space and some space needs to be maintained for parking/camping and we have plans for an orchard on some of the upper portion. A railroad line does bisect the property, it has a unique layout
To contact a land holder, you must first fill out a land seeker profile and have it approved by our staff. Thank you.
