ABOUT THE LAND
Clackamas County – Canby, Oregon. The total land size is over 18 acres, and we are offering approximately three acres. Uncultivated Aloha silt loam, 0 to 3 percent slopes. No Water Rights or Irrigation, though we are exploring the option to apply for water rights. This property was a berry farm before pasturing 2-4 cows for the last 20 years. We have recently cleared this portion of the land of small trees. The most northern section of our property is wooded in old-growth pine and oak. The western border of our property is a hazelnut farm, and our southern neighbor has a worm business for fishing bait and raises a small diversity of organically raised crops. We may be planting a hazelnut orchard on the eastern section of our land.
We are a family of three – Joe, 37, Ashley, 29, and Fynn 1. Our home is on the southeast corner of the property, where we also have a small orchard. We own a catering business that sources local food products and Ashley works for a family business as well. We will be utilizing portions of the farm as we learn about growing different crops, working towards a lean, sustainable, and biodiverse farm.
Willing to trade land for labor and education from experienced grower(s), infrastructure development, or cash. 3 year term. It is mandatory that no GMO seed or non-organic substances are used on our farm.
